SEGGER delivers day-one support for ST’s new STM32G5 microcontrollers

What happened

SEGGER announced day-one support for STMicroelectronics' newly introduced STM32G5 microcontroller series, with SEGGER serving as an ST Authorized Partner. The STM32G5 is the latest addition to STMicroelectronics' STM32 family, a series of general-purpose Arm Cortex-M33-based microcontrollers built for high-performance motor control and digital power applications. Support includes the J-Link family of debug probes (unlimited flash breakpoints and fast downloads into on-chip and external flash memories), with authenticated debugging enabled on the STM32G5; J-Trace streaming trace probes for analyzing, verifying, and profiling code; and the Flasher family of professional in-system programmers for virtually any production programming requirement. STM32G5 users can also use the Embedded Studio all-in-one integrated development environment and the SystemView real-time software analysis tool. Maxime Belaval, Microcontroller Ecosystem Marketing Manager at STMicroelectronics, said SEGGER's day-one support gives engineers working with the STM32G5 dependable, high-quality debug and programming tools from the very start; Dirk Akemann, Head of Technical Marketing at SEGGER, said SEGGER is pleased to provide product support for ST's latest microcontrollers from day one, including authenticated debugging for the STM32G5. SEGGER was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Monheim am Rhein, Germany.
