What happened
TrendForce reported that in the spot market this week, branded DDR4 and DDR5 chips saw limited transactions driven by demand from specific orders, nudging prices slightly higher for certain chips. However, as a typhoon impacted certain regions and overall demand has stayed weak, the upward price-chasing momentum failed to carry through, and transaction volumes did not increase noticeably. The average spot price of mainstream chips (DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s) rose 0.55% from US$46.79 last week (October 21) to US$47.04 this week (October 27).
