What happened

Nippon Sanso Holdings Group and the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) have signed a Letter of Intent aimed at strengthening industrial cooperation between Italy and Japan to foster new investments in semiconductors, electronics and advanced technologies. A key focus of the collaboration is the development of new production capabilities in Italy for high-technology sectors, including the semiconductor and electronics value chains; beyond serving the domestic market, these initiatives are intended to support growing demand across Europe. The agreement establishes a structured framework for identifying, assessing and evaluating new investment projects in Italy. Statements were made by Adolfo Urso, Italy's Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Tadaharu Watanabe, CEO of Nippon Sanso Holdings Group, and Eduina Marino, President and CEO of Nippon Sanso in Italy. This is a Letter of Intent stage; no specific investment projects have been implemented.
