LG Chem Unveils Ultra-Thin UNIQABLE Packaging Film
What happened
LG Chem announced on October 13 that it will introduce UNIQABLE, a recyclable ultra-thin packaging film made from polyethylene (PE), at TOKYO PACK 2026 in Japan running from October 14 to 16. The film maintains physical properties comparable to conventional multilayer packaging while reducing thickness to as little as 12 micrometers and is easier to recycle than multi-material packaging. At the exhibition, LG Chem will showcase UNIQABLE applications in snack and candy packaging developed with Crown Confectionery and plans to identify new customers in Japan and other Asian markets through on-site technical consultations.
