Horizontal axis: change vs own baseline
Current source-reported company-search count ÷ median of the preceding 8 source periods − 1. At least 6 visible periods are required. The baseline excludes the current and future periods. The ±20% thresholds are experimental and have not been calibrated against outcomes.
Vertical axis: position within the sample
The percentile of the source company-search count within the visible sample (0–100). This source-reported count does not establish a verified number of purchasing companies.
Trends: first visible period in the window = 100
Company attention and search activity are normalized separately to preserve their own changes. A blank means absence from the visible ranking. It is not zero, and lines do not bridge gaps.
Scope and uncertainty
- Newly observed means not visible in the prior period but visible now. It does not establish a new product launch or additional market demand.
- Not visible this period means absent from the current ranking. It does not establish market exit.
- The horizontal axis adapts to the current sample, with limits of −100% to +300%. Values beyond the range are marked at the boundary; details show the full value.
- Each small dot is one MPN at its original coordinate, without random displacement. Overlapping transparency helps show concentration; this is not a statistically estimated density map. Select a dense area to choose nearby MPNs or zoom in.
- Source labels include W53 in non-ISO years. Calendar mapping is unverified; no daily update schedule is asserted.
- Brands retain the reference field and have not been verified against legal or product entities. MPNs are normalized only for case and whitespace; similar suffixes are not merged.
- For duplicate records within a period, the lower rank number is retained. Counts are not added together.
