MicroVision Begins Commercial Production of MOVIA(TM) Pro for Superior Short-Range Sensing and Onboard Perception, Enabling Physical AI at the Edge

What happened

MicroVision, Inc. (NASDAQ: MVIS) announced the commercial production launch of MOVIA™ Pro and is shipping sensors to meet customer demand. MOVIA Pro is the company's next-generation short-range lidar sensor and the production-ready version of MOVIA S, featuring onboard perception, multi-echo sensing, and an integrated processing architecture that lets perception software run directly on the sensor via MicroVision's Open Software Framework. The company's Orlando-based production facility is manufacturing MOVIA Pro to meet increasing demand; CEO Glen DeVos said customers are progressing from evaluating prototypes to launching commercial programs.
