​kt cloud Joins 50MW Cheongna AI Data Center Project

What happened

kt cloud announced on October 7 that it will join the 50‑megawatt AI data center project in Cheongna, Incheon as the design, build and operate (DBO) partner. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year, with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2030. kt cloud will handle data center design consulting, major mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) work, commissioning to verify reliability and operational performance, and post‑completion operations. Hyundai Engineering will serve as a joint construction contractor responsible for architectural, civil engineering, facilities, landscaping, telecommunications and MEP work. kt cloud states the facility will have two basement levels and 11 above‑ground floors, while Hyundai Engineering says it will have four basement levels and 11 above‑ground floors, with completion dates of Q1 2030 and the second half of 2029 respectively.
